Our 2012 foal crop will begin April.

Our mares foal outside and raise their babies in the same pastures.  They  run with the stallion from May till late summer.  We handle each foal for an hour or so at birth and teach them to lead the first week.  After that, we handle them as time permits and they learn to be horses.  They  cross creeks, drink from ponds as well as automatic drinkers and negotiate obstacles in the herd.  We feed minerals, salt, and a small amount of corn/oat mixture. We do not keep our horses inside.

We could not be happier with the disposition on these performance horses as we train and break them to ride.   They  seem to be predisposed to enjoy human contact and are quick to learn.
